A young engineer trained at the Arts and Métiers school, Jean POLLARD filed the patent which would see the birth of the "CMtec" technology pump in the mid-1940s.
The first factory, built close to Paris, was soon running and the first clients were the Railways, manufacturers of machine tools and the steel industry.
In 1963, the factory was transferred to Sanary in the South of France, between Toulon and Marseille.
For 35 years the company developed under the management of Jean POLLARD who left the company for health reasons in 1976. The Pollard brand became a reference in the world of the industrial volumetric pump. In 1997 the current management took over the company, and since then it has developed the three following product ranges: - a range of pumps and motor-pumps
- a range of drum drainers
- a range of special products The company's current strategy puts the emphasis on commercial reactivity in response to French or international demand and on the ability of our design office to adapt our products technically, if necessary, to meet clients' specific requirements. 
Inaugurated in 2004, the brand new factory at Signes (Var) with its modern production equipment and optimised systems (ISO 9001) has allowed us to increase production capacity and to achieve delivery times for all the range that are among the shortest in the industry. The whole product range is Atex european norm certified. Pompes Pollard is today appreciated by its clients for its flexibility and its ability to offer "tailor-made" pumping systems in both short and long production runs.
